Washers is played a lot like Horseshoes.

Washers come unpainted we suggest bright colors (not grass green)

2-4 players (one on one or teams) we use 8 washers, 4 per team

One on one opponents throw from the same side and switch for the next throw.

With team play you throw against an opponent from each side.

You can stand anywhere as long as your foot does not pass the front of the box.

The player to throw first is on offence, second is on defense. The game is based on make it take it, if team one scores then team one throws first from the opposite end same for team two. If no one scores the last one to throws team member throws first.

Scoring : First to 15 points ( and yes you can go over )

This scoring method is where offense and defense work and is used in all Tournaments .

Outside the box- 0

In the box - 1 point

leaning on inside wall or outside of cup - 2 points (leaner)

In the cup - 3 points

Equal points cancel each other out

example: team one and two both have one washer in the box = 0 points for the round same for a leaner and a cup

Higher scoring throws cancel opponents lower scoring throws

example: team one has a leaner team two has one in the box =2 points for team one

3 or 4 in the box do not cancel a leaner or a cup

2 or more leaning do not cancel a cup

1 cup will cancel 4 opposing teams leaners

More examples: team one has 1 in the box, 1 leaning and 1 cup

   team two has 3 in the box the score is= 5 for team one

                          team one has 3 cups

      team two has 1 cup the score is= 6 for team one
